Offering of ceremonial robes

Late last year, the Malaysian and Singaporean sponsors donated special ceremonial robes and auspicious parasols for the 300 monks, nuns, yogis and yoginis in Rangjung Monastery and Thekchhog Kunzang Chhodon Nunnery. This initiative was headed by Khenpo Phuntso who requested for them on behalf of the monastery as the robes of the monks and nuns were getting very old and worn out from years of usage.

These robes consist of a yellow shawl called Cho Gey and Toi Go (top coat) for monks and nun. For yogis and yoginis, a traditional white and red robe call Kha Mar. They are worn for special grand prayer events like the annual Vajra Kilaya Drupchen.

Offering of robes were distributed out in November last year by Khenpo himself on behalf of all sponsors.

To complete the full ceremonial robes as of now the monks and nuns are still in need of the remaining lama dress (shamtap and sha la).
